Alongside Protocol, Lanre also works as an independent choreographer and movement director. In 2016, he was handpicked from over 1,300 applicants to be a choreographer on the inaugural ‘Old Vic 12′, a talent group supported by the Old Vic Theatre comprised of the most exciting theatre-makers in the UK. He was the movement artist and choreographer on The British Council film ‘Dear Mr. Shakespeare’, which was picked up by the BBC and selected for the renowned Sundance Film Festival. (2017). Most recently, he was the movement director on the UK premiere of ‘The Pulverised’ (Arcola Theatre/York Theatre Royal) & ‘And Here I am’ (UK/Palestine tour). Lanre is also a trained actor, graduating from Drama Centre London in 2011, and has worked extensively in theatre and television.
Jared is an actor, dancer and choreographer from North London. Starting out as a Popper, Jared was heavily influenced by the likes of Salah and Mr Steen for their experimental approach to dance. He was a member of the Frantic Assembly Ignition Company in 2009, and graduated from Arts Ed in 2013. Since then his work has varied from playing Nathan Nightingale in C4’s Hollyoaks, and performing at The Young Vic with associate artists BirdGang in ‘A Harlem Dream’. He also directed ‘A Memory of Me’, a short film in collaboration with Odd Venture, which was selected and screened at the Dance Film Festival UK. Dance and acting have always simultaneously been a part of his life, and through his work with Protocol he aims to bring the two art forms together.
